Father's Day!

This is for the Fathers in my life. My loving husband and my wonderful Father.

This hot stud decapitating the pony is the love of my life and the Father to my children. He is my best friend and the one who makes me laugh when I dont want to and the one I like to try and make laugh at the most inappropriate times.

LOVE YOU BABE!!!

My Dad. He is awesome. I love him so much and I am so thankful to have him as my Dad. We always try to out-do each other on the gifts we give him. This year I totally won. I don't have a picture of it but I got him a topsy-turvy tomato planter with the plant already in it and growing tomato's. He loved it. :)

Ferree Thanksgiving Shootout '09

I didn't get pictures of all the food because I was too busy eating it. ;) The sisters were all standing around talking about nothing when I notice Jesse and Melissa whispering. After I tortured them a little they finally caved and told me what they were talking about. Apparently, the next person to come in the front door was going to get attacked by "Turkeys." Then Melissa showed us the Turkeys....

Beth was the one to get attacked. Pretty much we smacked her with our "Turkey" hands while she screamed in pain and confusion. It was a lot of fun. Did I mention yet that this is the first time we've all been together where there was a camera present for quiet a while now. We had to take advantage.
Serious Sister Picture....
Omg, really Casey.... Really!

Ethan and Conner playing around.... This was after about the 30th time of telling them to get out of the kitchen. I think Ethan is making that face because he is discovering how Fat Conner really is.

Melissa and Katie.

I told you we love taking advantage of the timed setting on my camera now....

"Turkey Kisses"

Serious one...

Aaron and Conner.

Monica to the Rescue with Bubbles for the kids....
And now for the Shootout portion of this post.....

Tim being all Professional.

Jared showing off his Military training....

The guys favorite part of the day....

Micah adding his to the mix.

Dad and his Ear Muffs. Lol. I love those things. No ringing in the ears after shooting when you wear those bad boys. Dad was also the official Skeet Shooter of the day.

The Peanut Gallery.

Dad said it was harder than it looks and the boys laughed at him till they tried doing it and ended up throwing there's into the trees, and at one point someone else.

Mom. She is such a joiner some times.

Melissa looking too thin still......

Lol. This is one of my Favorite pictures of the Day. Josh, Josh, Josh. Gotta Love that Boy.

"The Preachers"

I love this one too. Josh and Ken.

Jessica is so funny to watch. So girly, packing heat. Lol.

Me making Conner acknowledge me.

I love this Face! Reminds me of this face Beth makes sometimes that cracks us all up.

Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie, neither of which I like.

Regan and Natalie all Snazzed up and ready to Party.

Dad Part II

I just recieved this from my Wonderful Grandmother and just wanted to share it with the rest of you. I loved it Grandma. Thank you. Look for my comments in Bold Italics.

My water broke at 1:30 PM and Mother and I called Bob (Grandpa) home from American Standard. He came home and SHAVED (OMG! That's a man for ya.) while I had severe pains in my back and a towel catching the water. (Officially my hero now!) We lived in Shively and we drove to Jewish Hospital. Mike was born at 3:20PM. While I was having him Mother was in the Chapel praying and God said "It is a little boy." As she walked out Bob came to tell her we had a boy! He was beautiful! Pretty round head, and the lady in the room with me was Catholic and her boy had an oblong head for she had hard labor. She called in the Priest to pray for him. She thought he would die. It was so sad. A few days later Mother prayed for Michael that he would be a Holiness preacher! She stayed with me a week. When Michael was about 2 weeks old -I rolled out of bed and with my knees on the floor-kneeled by the bed -I held his little hand and thanked GOD for him. I told God I would raise him in Church and tell him about JESUS but there was something I could not do-I ask GOD to put the LOVE of JESUS in his heart. I often think of that prayer and know GOD is REAL! Praise HIS HOLY HOLY HOLY name JESUS!

I thought I was going to have more comments in there but she handled it perfectly I thought.

I honestly don't think I could have handled having kids back then. Give me drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Thank you so much Grandma for the information. I have been asking him and Mom more questions lately about them growing up. Things they did, saw, experienced. I just want to know about them. They getting on in years and I don't want to have questions about stuff like that when they are not around to answer. (Also, expecting you to live FOREVER for me so I can ask you stuff they can't answer. On top of other things of course.) Thank you again for the story Grandma. I really LOVED it.

Ps. Did your Mom get to see Dad become a preacher?

The Big 6-0

Today, sixty years ago My Dad was born. SIXTY! I used to think that was old till I hit my 3rd kid, Now 100 is not old to me. I don't know any stories about when he was born.
Somewhere in there, around the 30 mark, he married Mom and for the next 30 years he had like 50 kids. Lol. Just kidding. There's just 9 of us. This in the Only picture I have of my parents together, except for Family pictures.
LOVE YOU DAD!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Fireworks!!!

As Amy recently posted, Chad’s B-day was Monday but we celebrated Sunday. He cracks me up because he hates the attention but if we don’t acknowledge it he gets his feelings hurt. (yes, Amy, you know he totally would.) So I was one of those people that would burst out in song every time he walked in the room, past a window, stood within yelling distance. Tim, me and the kids went to Mom’s Monday to see her and Dad before they left town again and Chad kept asking me why we were there. I honestly couldn’t figure out what the heck he was talking about except that I was still singing to him.
Chad: “Why are you here!”
Me: “What are you talking about? Oh, Happy Birthday to you…”
Chad: “WHY ARE YOU HERE?”
Me: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU….”
Finally he asked me “Are you here for a birthday thing?”
I had no clue what the boy was talking about. I said, “Didn’t we do that yesterday?”
Then it hit me. HE THINKS WE ARE HAVING A SURPRISE SOMETHING!!!! Poor little Chad. He really thought we were there for some kind of surprise party or get together. Like I said before, Poor Chad. Me and Mom laughed hard over that one, then called Amy and laughed with her too. No ,we did not have anything planned for Chad but Mom felt bad so we bought him some fireworks and set them off last night… to the tune of “Happy Birthday.” Just kidding. Lol. Since it was dark and I hate using my flash so here is what I got. Not the best, but definitly fun.

The Family. Plus Rob. Minus Mel and Neal. And of course the ones in charge of the fireworks.

The Peanut gallery.

Luckily we didn’t catch anything of fire this time. It has happened. Last year Dad got so nervous that he ran and moved his Truck to the bottom of the driveway, just in case. One year we actually shot a friend and a kid. Had to drop the kid in the pool to put her skirt out. It was HORRIBLE! Now we sit Farther back, and let Josh H. be in charge since he is pretty much the safest one out there. Mom laughs at the fact that all her boys are pyro’s but they get it from her. She is the one who always contributes the most money, screams the loudest, eggs on shooting at Josh F. So far the only kids that don’t like them very much is Ben and Madyson. The two whinny pants.

And My Favorite shot of the night. Regan and her Sparkler.
